Back to the Future Webinar | Deconfinement measures

Events

Portugal is complying with the deconfinement plan. A strategy has been developed to survey containment measures in the context of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and other measures are being implemented in the meantime. And now? What should and can companies do, and what are the consequences if they do not?

To try to answer these questions, CCA ON - Knowledge and Innovation Centre of the CCA Law Firm, launched last May 21st, at noon, a Webinar devoted exclusively to clarifying questions concerning:

  • What are the deconfinement measures to be implemented in the workplace, duties, and rights, and what are the consequences of non-compliance with these measures, both from the point of view of the company and from the point of view of the worker?
  • To what extent does the implementation of these measures impact people's privacy?
  • Can the company or establishment be held liable in the event of contagion due to the non-implementation of these measures or their poor implementation?
  • Can this liability be transferred to insurers?
  • Can company directors be held liable for the non-implementation of deconfinement measures or for their poor implementation?

Rita Cruz, CCA's Partner, Pedro Antunes, CCA's Partner and Managing Associate of the Labour Department, Martim Bouza Serrano, CCA's Partner and Managing Associate of the TMT department and Sara Reis, CCA's Partner and Managing Associate of the Corporate/M&A department joined to discuss these subjects in a session with approximately 60 minutes.
