CCA is one of the partners of Global Sportech, a program developed by Startup Lisboa and Arena Hub, an innovation centre for the sports industry in Brazil, which will introduce the Brazilian sports tech market to Portuguese startups in the sector, as well as present the Portuguese ecosystem to Brazilian startups.
This one-month project aims to give 10 startups access to information on the culture and legal framework, mentors, investors and other relevant players in the European and Latin American markets. CCA will be responsible for the following mentoring sessions:
October 21st:
- 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. > Cultural Insights : How to do business in Portugal? By Domingos Cruz, Managing Partner
- 4:10 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. > Corporate Law by Rita Trabulo, Managing Associate of the Startinnovation team
- 5:10 p.m. - 6:10 p.m. > Labour Law by Pedro Antunes, Partner of the Labour Department
October 28th:
- 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. > Corporate Tax by Cátia Ascenso, Associate of the Tax Department
The initiative will take place remotely and aims to support Portuguese and Brazilian startups in integrating their business into the Latin American and European markets, respectively. For a month, startups will have access to several webinar sessions, inspirational talks, mentoring sessions, investor sessions and even business match meetings, which will generally allow them to have privileged access to a networking network for participating startups.
In addition to CCA, the program also has other partner entities that will support entrepreneurs during the program, such as Amazon Web Services, in Portugal, and Bichara e Motta Advogados, in Brazil.
Global Sportech gains a particular importance because it takes place in the year when Lisbon is the European Capital of Sport. The program will end on November 19th, with a session introducing all participating startups to the community.
