The Tourism and Leisure team of CCA ONTIER, led by the Coordinator Associate Madalena Azeredo Perdigão, in partnership with APR - Associação Portuguesa de Resorts, will organize on 6th of June, in the morning (from 9am to 12:30 p.m.), at Lisbon’s School of Hospitality and Tourism, a conference dedicated to the topic "How Innovation is Changing the Hotel and Tourism Industry", which will bring together a group of players in the market from associations, hotels, startups and companies related both to tourism and lawyers.
The first debate will be dedicated to the theme "Tourism and Hospitality version 4.0: What is its real impact", which is intended to address the adaptability of Hospitality and Tourism to new technologies, especially considering the advent of new applications that aim to provide complementary services to the Hotel Industry. In this first session, Euclides Major, GuestU CEO, Gonçalo Rebelo Almeida, Vila Galé Administrator, Hugo Santos Ferreira, APPII Executive Vice President, João Paiva Mendes, Founder and CEO of Boost and Pedro Fontainhas, Executive Director of APR, will be attending as speakers.
The second debate will be on the topic "Tourism and Hospitality: will RGPD be (correctly) hosted?" This session will have, as speakers, Paulo Mesquita, General Manager of Dom Pedro Lisboa, Martim Bouza Serrano, Associate Coordinator of the Data Protection Team of CCA ONTIER and Sara Louro, Coordinator of the Iberian Data Protection Team of Accor Hotels. This session will be especially dedicated to case studies, in order to better understand how larger hotel groups have been reacting to the adoption of new rules, also offering advice to those who are still in an early stage of adapting to the RGPD.
Teresa Ferreira, Director of Tourism of Portugal, will in charge of the conference’s opening and, on the other hand, Francisco Chalheiros, President of CTP – Portuguese Tourism Confederation, will be in charge of its closing. Moreover, the moderation will be conducted by Fernanda Pedro, journalist at Diário Imobiliário and Jornal Económico.
