Filipe Mayer, Partner of CCA and head of its Online Game area, wrote an opinion piece for Advocatus about the amendments to the Advertising Code, which introduced new rules on advertising for high-energy foods and beverages or those containing high levels of salt, sugar, saturated fatty acids and processed fatty acids, aimed at children under 16 years of age.

"(...) the new rules are a real source of subjectivity, which promises to create difficulties not only for advertisers, but also for professionals and advertising agencies, and last but not least for the holders of advertising media. You should remember that, under the terms of the law in force, if a rule of the Advertising Code is violated, all these agents can be held liable to the same extent ..."
