Following the reform of the teleworking regime and the legal changes introduced, Bernardo Costa Fernandes, Principal Associate of CCA Law Firm’s Labour practice comments on the full remote teleworking regime and termination thereof.
According to Bernardo Costa Fernandes “The new teleworking regime does not protect teleworkers who were hired to work in full remote from day one, and who only intend to exercise their activity under this regime. This is contrary to the regime in place for the termination of the teleworking regime. In this case, the employer is entitled to terminate the teleworking regime and require the full remote teleworker to start working in a face-to-face regime.”
