In an article, included in the special issue "Future of Work" of Jornal Económico, Bernardo Costa Fernandes addresses the "right to disconnect", the 4-day work week and the balance between workers' personal and professional life.
"One must look at this new trend of the four-day working week as one only applicable to particular sectors of activity, insofar as the scope of the reduction will be to maintain the same number of workers, increasing business productivity indices and preventing companies from incurring increased costs by hiring new workers."
