The Online Gambling Practice Area of CCA ONTIER, led by the Partner Filipe Mayer, has just released a collection dedicated to the theme of Gambling in Portugal. A work that seeks to bring together, in a single volume, all the legal and regulatory diplomas applicable to the activity of games of chance, social games and sports and equestrian betting.
"The great majority of the rules applicable to this sector are dispersed by several diplomas, which does not facilitate the understanding of the normative framework. This, based on the vast experience of the CCA in the area of Gambling and as users of all this legislation and regulation, drove us to collect this collection that we decided to put in the form of a book. A product we expect to be of great use not only to our clients but also to other operators in this area", says Filipe Mayer, Partner of CCA ONTIER and Head of the Gambling Practice Area of CCA ONTIER.
The lawyer also states that "we are aware that some of the collected legislation is constantly changing, in particular regarding online gambling", but he adds that " this does not invalidate the usefulness of the work now published; it will be a good opportunity for the second edition of this collection".
