"Towards fairer and more efficient taxation" is the latest opinion piece by Carla Matos, CCA's Law Firm Partner, for Jornal Económico, on combating tax avoidance practices, reinforced by the entry in force of the new Law nº 32/2019.
The implementation of this Law and the subsequent transposition of the European Union Directive (2016/1114) into Portuguese law reinforce the idea that "it is urgent and of the utmost importance to deploy joint efforts not only to combat crime but to create an economically secure and harmonized environment", states Carla Matos.
