Following the recent amendments to the Labour Code, shedding light on the changes introduced to the regime applicable to overtime work has become even more important.
In an opinion article for RH Magazine, Carolina Hecker, Associate Lawyer of CCA's Labour practie, clarifies the updates to the payment for overtime work and the new requirements for a company to apply this regime.
"This means that any employee who chooses to perform overtime work without the express instruction of the employer, in order to benefit from the right to be paid for those hours, must provide proof demonstrating the need for such work", says the Associate.
