Filipe Mayer, CCA ONTIER's Partner and Coordinator of the TMT & PI Department, wrote an opinion article for HiperSuper about the Online Complaints Book, which came into effect on July 1st. Its application will be carried out in a phased manner, depending on the sectors of economic activity, which in this first phase is applicable to essential public services.
'It should be noted that the existence and availability of the electronic format does not make it compulsory to make available at the same time the physical format of the complaint book. If these undertakings do not implement all the facets of the measure, they will be subject to a fine of €250 to €3.500, if they are a natural person, or €1.500 to €15.000, if they are a legal person' highlights Filipe Mayer.
