In response to a listener whose company she works for is quarantined after recording two positive cases of COVID-19, Pedro Antunes clarifies the case of a colleague who received a letter of dismissal shortly after the workers were placed in quarantine: "in Portugal the only limitation there is, regarding the prohibition of dismissals, at today’s date, is in the event that the company is in the process of lay-off, and only dismissals for the extinction of job positions or collective dismissals are prohibited. In this case, in particular, as the colleague had a 6-month fixed term contract, it seems to be a dismissal during the trial period".
