With a clear commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation, Portugal has its arms wide open to the entry of highly qualified entrepreneurs and professionals, gradually launching programs to attract and retain talent. In an opinion piece for IT Channel magazine, Rita Trabulo, Head of CCA's Startinnovation Team, explains how one of these programs works - Tech Visa - which started in 2019 and which aims to empower innovative Portuguese companies to hire qualified tech talent who do not reside in the European Union (EU).
"Portugal continues to set the tone in the world of entrepreneurship, focusing on innovation and attracting talent to develop business here, and this bet is not just about hosting events such as the Web Summit, but also creating programs and measures, such as Tech Visa, which encourage the purchase of a one-way ticket to Portugal", underlines Rita Trabulo.
