Following the approval by the Council of Ministers, on 30 March, of the ""Mais Habitação"" package and its new rules, Vera Martinez (Managing Associate of the Real Estate practice) comments on the changes related to the operation of short term rental accommodation.
"It seems, therefore, that the new rules imposed by the Portuguese Government in the context of short term rental will bring indefinition and uncertainty with the municipalities, as well as confusion and constraints with the developers operating in the local accommodation market," reflects Vera Martinez in an article for Brainsre News Portugal.
