On November 5th, 2019 the Local Accommodation Municipal Regulation (“Regulamento Municipal do Alojamento Local” or “Regulation”) was approved by the Municipal Assembly of Lisbon (“AML”), based on the Proposal No 697/CM/2019 of the Lisbon Municipality (“CML”). The Regulation was published in Diário da República (Official Journal) on November 7th, 2019.
The Regulation is published following the last amendment made to the Local Accommodation Regime, created by Law No 71/2018 of the 31st December, which granted the municipal bodies the competences to create, by Municipal Regulation and reasoned resolution, containment areas for the installation of new local accommodation establishments, among other issues.
