The government has recently announced that it will launch a new solar auction in September 2021. In fact, Portugal is looking to contract 500 MW of new floating solar projects through a 3rd tender to be launched in September 2021.
The intention is for this 3rd Auction to be launched for 10 to 12 reservoirs. The Government has already chosen 7 reservoirs for the future solar arrays.
