On the third quarter of 2022 the operation of online gambling and betting generated around 159.1 million euros of gross revenue. An increase of 39.3% in comparison to the same period of 2021.
In accordance with the statistics recently shared by the Gaming Regulation and Inspection Service, the operators collected on the last quarter of 2022 a total of 89.8 million euros in gross revenues with the operation of games of chance, an increase of 25.0 million compared to the same period of last year. The revenues generated through the operation of games of chance also reveal the continued preference of players in the national market for slots, representing about 80% of the total amount of placed bets.
In what concerns fixed-odds sports bets, the gross revenue for the last quarter of 2022 is equivalent to 69.3 million euros,19.9 million more than what was recorded on the previous year, being that Football continues being the sport with the highest volume of bets with 78% of the total.
