Update on Allowances Amounts
On January 17, 2025, the Decree-Law no. 1/2025, of January 16, entered into force, updating the amounts of the allowances.
The decree updates by 5% the amount of allowances for workers and members of the Government and members of corporate bodies in relation to journeys within national territory and establishes that these amounts for 2025 in relation to journeys abroad will be defined in a specific decree.
Thus, the allowance rates for 2025 will be as follows:
- Displacements inside the national territory:
- Employees: from €62.75 to €65.89;
- Members of government and equivalent in the private sector (members of corporate bodies): from €69.19 to €72.65.
- Displacements abroad: amounts for 2025 are yet to be defined by Ordinance, and the amounts for 2024 are as follows:
- Employees: € 148,91;
- Members of government and equivalent in the private sector (members of corporate bodies): € 167,07.
